Red Wines ~ Regional Classics

Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon (4 & 6 week): An appealing classic from Chile. Deep colour; full body and a surprisingly soft finish. Berry scent and flavour, balanced by mellowing toasted oak. A friendly favourite.

Chilean Rio Negro (4 week): Chilean Cabernet serves as the foundation for this exclusive blend. Good colour; medium body and subtle berry character. Just enough tannin to round out the structure.

Italian Riserva Nebbiolo (6 week): Deemed to be Italy's most noble red grape. Comes from the Alba area in Central Piedmonte and is the grape of the great Barolos and Barbarescos. Ruby colour; maturing to a deep garnet when aged. Delicate bouquet displaying intense fruit and the subtle perfume of violets. Tannic flavour becomes more harmonic and velvety with age.

French Merlot (6 week): A classic from the Pomerol district in Bordeaux. We have added 18% Cabernet Franc for additional appeal. Ruby red, soft and moderate body. Suggestions of violet and raspberry. Comes with French oak. Benefits from aging.

French Cabernet Sauvignon (6 week): From the neighborhood of Bergerac, west of Bordeaux. Soft with pleasant tannic notes. Herbaceous fragrance with a suggestion of black currant. French oak is supplied. Age at least 3 months or up to a year.

European Reserve Meritage (4 and 6 week): A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and a touch of Grenache. The abundant flavours are harmonized with French oak. Well balanced with good tannins. Lots of berry and plum notes and herbaceous aroma. Age up to a year.

California Reserve Pinot Noir (4 & 6 week): Medium bodied, European Pinot Noir with bright crimson colour and an alluring bouquet Reminiscent of cherry or strawberry jam. A soft wine.
